India’s Gig Economy Embraces Transformative Change

Considering the fact that more than 450 million people are employed in the informal sector, this segment warrants attention and infrastructural support. At Gigin, our goal is to provide these workers with a platform so that they can avail opportunities with confidence. We are glad to see that among those who are enrolling on our platform, the number of women is on the rise. We are humbled by the fact that we have been able to provide a largely unorganised sector with a best-fit platform to enable them to realise their dreams. We are happy to report that this increase in female gig workers on our platform is proof of our claim that when hurdles are removed and equal opportunities are provided, women outshine everyone around them.
